Creamy Pumpkin & Pea Dahl

If you want to get the kids trying something new this is your recipe. The mix is has no chilli but is full of flavour.  All you need to make this easy recipe is Organic Creamy Coconut Dahl mix, 2 Cups of mixed vegetables, tin of coconut cream and water. 

 

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee or coconut oil in a medium sized saucepan. Add dahl mix, stirring until fragrant, approximately 2 minutes
  2. Add 2 cups of mixed chopped vegetables - our favourite is pumpkin & peas. 
  3. Add 3 cups of boiling water & 1 tin of coconut cream
  4. Once bubbling, reduce to a low-medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring ocasionaly. 

Served here with extra roast pumpkin, turmeric rice, flat breads and yoghurt. The kids will love it!

Or try these recipe variations

Add 1 cup of pan fried tofu pieces once cooked for a fuller meal 

Add 400g of chicken pieces at step 1 for extra protein

Add 2 extra cups of your favourite vegetables & extra tin of Coconut cream for a dahl soup 


Serve this delicious dahl with 

Basmati rice & yoghurt 

Shredded roast chicken & yoghurt on top 

As a side with another curry or protein

Roasted mushrooms on top
