Comforting Vegetable Dahl

This Traditional Dahl has a whole lot of  flavour. Stock it up with your favourite vegetables to create a perfect dinner. All you need to make this easy recipe is Organic Indian Masala Dahl mix, 2 cups of  mixed Vegetables ( use more vegetables to bulk it up) and water. 

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee or coconut oil in a medium sized saucepan. Add dahl mix, stirring until fragrant, approximately 2 minutes
  2. Add 2 cups of mixed chopped vegetables - our favourite is zuchini, sweet potato & tomato. 
  3. Add 5 cups of boiling water. 
  4. Once bubbling, reduce to a low-medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

Served here with basmati rice, sauerkraut, fresh chopped cucumber & tomato salad

Or try these recipe variations

Swap out 1 cup of water for 1 tin of coconut cream for a creamy version 

Add 400g of chicken pieces at step 1 for extra protein

Add 2 extra cups of your favourite vegetables & 1 tin of Coconut cream for a dahl soup 


Serve this delicious dahl with 

Extra fresh baby spinach & cashews on top 

Shredded roast chicken & yoghurt on top 

As a side with another curry or protein

Basmati rice & peas
