Ingredients for Slow cooked lamb shanks:
- 1 Quick Stix Savoury Mince
- 2-3 tablespoons of ghee or coconut oil
- 1.5 kg of lamb shanks
- 3 cups of water
- 1 onion, diced
Cooking Instructions:
- Heat: In a large saucepan, heat 2-3 tablespoons of ghee or coconut oil over medium heat.
- Brown the Lamb shanks: Add the chopped onion and lamb shanks and brown them until cooked through.
- Add Seasoning: Stir in the Quick Stix Savoury Mince recipe base, coating the meat and cooking until fragrant.
- Mix in Liquids: Add 3 cups of warm water. Stir thoroughly to combine.
- Slow cook: Pace in the over and cook for 3 hours or until the meat falls off the bone on a fan forced 185 C. Can also be cooked in a slow cooker.
- Optional tomatoes: You can swap one cup of water for a tin of tomatoes for added depth
