Curried Sausages Quick Stix!
Share
This easy recipe was submitted with one our first reviews! Dan made the curried sausages he's been craving since moving out of home and he reckons it was pretty spot on, easy and a cheap meal prep.
- 8 fat sausages or 12 thin ones
- 1 large green apple - thinly sliced with skin on
- 1 large onion - sliced into thin wedges
- Mild Indian Curry mix
- 1 cup water
Cook the sausages in a large frypan until they are just browned and there is some fat in the pan. Add the apple and onion, stir and cook for about 2 minutes. Add 1 cup water and sprinkle over the Mild Indian Curry mix. Give it a good stir and bring to the boil. Put on a lid, reduce to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes until the snags are cooked through.
Serve with a big bowl of mashed potato and some peas for a classic bangers and mash meal. There will be heaps so great for lunch for a couple of days.
Dan says "I left the snags whole but Mum used to cook them half way and then slice them into 1.5cm rounds. Both great."
