Certified Organic Food Product of the Year Finalist: Our Bone Broth Hot Chocolate Journey

I still get a little flutter in my chest every time I say it out loud: our Bone Broth Hot Chocolate has been named a finalist for Certified Organic Food Product of the Year in the 2026 Australian Organic Industry Awards.

This year, I made a decision. I wanted to get out there and really share my passion — not just for Love My Earth, but for the incredible community of certified organic growers, manufacturers and product creators who show up every single day to do things properly. I wanted to support Australian Organic and the amazing work they do to champion our industry. So I thought, why not apply?

And when the finalists were announced, I was in genuinely wonderful company. The Certified Organic Food Product of the Year category is stacked this year — Biosota Organics, INCA Organics, Griffith Bros. Coffee Roasters, Sacred Staples and Urban Forager are all finalists too, and every single one of them is doing something remarkable in this space. Being named alongside them is an honour in itself.

Why We Made Something “Different”

If you know Love My Earth, you know I’ve never wanted to just make what everyone else is making. I love creating products that are different — things that let me showcase ingredients from across the organic industry that don’t always get their moment in the spotlight. Bone broth and hot chocolate aren’t two things you’d normally put in the same sentence, let alone the same cup. But that’s exactly the kind of unexpected pairing I love bringing to life — comforting, nourishing, and completely unlike anything else on the shelf.

The Response Has Been Overwhelming

Since we launched it, the response to our Bone Broth Hot Chocolate has honestly taken my breath away. The support from our customers has been overwhelming — people telling us how much they love it, how it’s become part of their daily ritual, how it’s exactly the kind of nourishing, comforting product they didn’t know they were missing. That kind of response is what makes all the late nights and product trials worth it.

This Win Belongs to All of Us

Here’s the thing — Love My Earth has never been a one-woman show, even though I’m often the face of it. I create the products and source the ingredients, but that’s really only one piece of the puzzle.

Fran takes everything and makes it beautiful — she’s behind all of our graphic design, packaging and branding, and honestly, half the reason people pick up our products off the shelf is because of the way she brings them to life visually.

And Kerrie is the engine room. She manufactures our products and handles all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps Love My Earth actually running — the unglamorous, essential stuff that nobody sees but that makes everything else possible.

This finalist nod isn’t just mine. It’s ours. We’re a great team, and I couldn’t be prouder of what the three of us have built together.

Melbourne, Here We Come

I’ve already got my frock ready — I’m heading to Melbourne to celebrate at the Organic Industry Celebration & Awards Party on Wednesday 2 September at Glasshaus Brucke. Whatever happens on the night, I’m just so excited to be in a room full of people who care as much about organic integrity as I do, celebrating everyone who made the finalist list this year.
